Happy Monday, Tipsters!
Whoa. I think I just created something magical with that nickname; let’s all take a moment to let it sink in and marinade. Ahh, yes. The Tipster life is real, and it is great.
Okay. Moment over.
Now, remember that time I told you we like to give stuff away for free? Well, you’re in luck because now is one of those times! So listen up, because you will not want to miss out on this opportunity.
Have you ever been reading your favorite book and thought to yourself, “Hey self, I’d really like to wear this book on my body in the form of a really comfortable t-shirt. I’d also really enjoy it if when it was on my body, it was so fashion forward and edgy that even Donatella Versace herself would mean mug me with envy.”
Good news! Your thoughts, prayers and desires have been answered in the form of Litographs.
Litographs is an awesome business from Cambridge, MA founded in 2011 by brothers Corey and Danny Fein. They design tshirts, tote bags, and posters based off of your favorite books. But the best part is, that from afar, it may look like it’s just an image representing the book’s theme, plot, or central character, but when you get up close, it’s actually the entire book printed right there on the shirt or bag.
So, not only are you getting a shirt, but you’re getting a book, too. How spectacular is that?
Litographs is more than just an amazing excuse to spend money on literary themed clothing; it’s also a bonus because their mission is rooted in building community among readers, books, and authors. Also, for every product sold, they send a new, high quality book to a community in need. Could they be any more perfect? I don’t think so.
So go ahead, swipe your credit card, give back to your community, and get swagged out to the nines and tens.
They already have tons of titles available on their site, and have a future plan of expanding to cover a wide variety of genres and authors ranging from uber-famous all the way to the noble self-publishers.
Now, I know what you’re thinking, is there anything these guys can’t do? And the answer is no, because not only are they encouraging people to talk to each other about books and helping out communities in need, now they’re taking a stab at matchmaking, and it’s probably going to be a smashing success.
They’ve heard some terrible book-related pick-up lines and don’t recommend deploying any of them. But! If you like books and you can tell the book-loving object of your desire does as well, it’s best to start an honest conversation using literature as a natural icebreaker. That’s partly why they’re hosting a literary speed dating event in May.
So now that you know how awesome they are, you’ll probably want to know how you can win a gift certificate for a poster of your choice, right? Of course you do. So here’s what we need from you.
Once you do that, you will be entered into the drawing for the gift certificate! Easy peasy.
